This year in speech students are exercising their language skills by doing S. T. E. M. projects. These projects require students to read and follow instructions for how to make complex designs. The complex designs relate in some way to their curriculum at school. The students use critical thinking skills to connect what they build to what they learn in class. The students then teach others how to build the design. This helps their communication skills, their language skills and their critical thinking skills. Students are loving the projects and exercising their language skills in new ways!
You can find projects for your children to build at home. Many are inexpensive and use materials that you might have around the house.
